Image Requirements:
6-20 images JPG format Adobe RGB color profile Allowed sizes (flexible rules): Portrait: 8.5 × 11 in, 300 dpi (2550 × 3300 px) Landscape: 17 × 11 in, 300 dpi (5100 × 3300 px) Must be exclusive and unpublished Copyright owner only We are seeking narrative editorials--tell us a story! Use at least two or more models interacting and at least six or more distinct outfits, all in a consistent theme, no fast fashion brands please, current season styles in designer clothing preferred, vintage acceptable if doing a period piece story. Focus on composition, lighting, sets, location and storytelling, but keep it subtle, no overacting (see Steven Meisel or Peter Lindbergh or Avedon or late Lagerfeld for inspiration). Your story can be color or black and white. Please no themes or images that are objectifying, exploitative or disrespectful to women. 9 times out of 10 when we reject submissions it is because people submit several photos of one model in the same clothing. That is not an editorial, it's a portrait. So get elaborate and show a whole series. Make it interesting and moody! We are so looking forward to seeing your stories! Please send uncropped images, and if any are horizontal, remember that the subject cannot be centered or will get cut in half by the seam of the magazine. Leave plenty of room around all the edges since we are a full bleed magazine, so the format crops the images significantly. Note that we often accept submissions via the app www.Kavyar.com in addition to direct submissions, so you can fill out their pre-set forms if you prefer a streamlined submission process. SEND submissions to: [email protected] Guidelines: 1. No Watermarks, shoot for print, send in high resolution uncropped images Please remove all watermarks before you submit. Single magazine pages are 8.5x11, double page spreads are 11’tall x17” wide. Shoot with these shapes and sizes in mind! Please send uncropped images, and if any are horizontal, remember that the subject cannot be centered or will get cut in half by the seam of the magazine. Content Release Form Next, send in your photographer's 3 page Content Release form giving us permission to publish your work. Print the form out, initial each page, and sign and date it. You may scan it back to us, take a photo of each page and email those back, or send the original by mail, as you wish. Note that we cannot publish your photos without this Content Release Form signed first. If you are anyone other than the photographer submitting, then it is your responsibility to procure the proper Content Release Form signature from your photographer. Ask your photographer to send us his or her signed Content Release form giving us permission to publish their work. Find a copy at this link:
